We want everyone to have a wonderful time ice skating and making memories at Cider Barn Ice Rink. We feel the best way to do that is by limiting the number of skaters on the ice at one time during public skating sessions to 35. This prevents overcrowding and lets us provide rental skates for everyone who desires them. I bought as many skates as our budget allowed and will continue to add more but please keep that in mind if an alternate size or style may be offered. We’re just trying to share our love of the holidays so there is a limited amount of each size. Our sizes range from a little bitty 7 jr to a men’s size 13. We also have youth and adult adjustable skates in small, medium, and large. This is one of the reasons we ask you to reserve your tickets in advance so we can plan and better accommodate each visitor. When you reserve your skating session online prior to your visit you will be asked to provide the skate sizes needed for your visit and given the opportunity to reserve a Dasher the Dolphin skate trainer. I recommend reserving one of these in advance because when your little one sees them they will most certainly wish to ride one. They serve two purposes so if your new to ice skating whether an adult or child you may consider renting one of these as they help you keep your balance while learning how to navigate on skates. We have 14 of the trainers available to rent.
You will also need to fill out a liability waiver which will be stored on file. Everyone must complete a waiver before they are allowed on ice. We realize that plans change and sometimes you don’t have time to plan ahead or you have additional friends/family wishing to join you, no worries you should still be able to skate. You can purchase admission and skate rental inside Cider Barn and we do have paper copies of waivers that can be filled out.
We do recommend looking over the Cider Barn Ice Rink rules prior to visiting. All children are required to have an adult accompany them unless prior permission has been given or they are attending an after school skate, field trip, or private party/event. Cider Barn is located in a rural area and there is a pond on the property along with woods and a variety of livestock all of which could potentially be dangerous. Safety is a priority.
